Moodily Blooming,” 2020. Photography.

The first few weeks of quarantine I focused a lot on indulging in my time at home. I stayed up late watching films, constantly checked social media, and lounged a lot more than normal. After a few weeks I decided to focus on my creative work and pour more of my time into film photography. I’ve had a 35mm Minolta X-700 film camera for about a year and a half and never really used it until now. I’ve fallen in love with the versatility of film. I’m learning and growing each time I pull out the camera. I always shoot manually and have to pay attention to the light and how it’ll reach with the film I’ve chosen. I appreciate the process that film photography takes, having to wait to see the finished product rather than instant digital gratification. I’ve taken a lot of walks and hikes during quarantine and most of the images I’ve created are from those quiet and intimate moments with the environments around me. Enjoy.
